Axpona 2016

Thanks to everyone that came by and listened to the speakers at Axpona today.  There were a lot of really positive comments and encouragement, and we really appreciate it. We would also like to thank the Midwest Audio Club and Meniscus Audio for letting us show off the speakers.

Check back in the coming weeks for updated information on the speakers.  It was a rush to get things finished up prior to the show, and we only got this site up yesterday evening.

  1. Hi Guy’s,

I was one of the people raving about your Planar’s, It was a pleasure to see and hear them as well comparing them to your competitors like the Magnepan 1.7’s which was no competition at all IMO.
You have one of the best Planar loudspeakers I have ever heard and I have owned several. Once more your product completely defies their size. I wish you the best and hope you can market them and even perhaps even to the DIY community. I look forward to following your progress.

    Thanks

    Dan W.

    1. Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, I am contemplating making this available to the DIY community, although I am not certain of its viability since the construction almost certainly entails the use of a MIG welder or equivalent and other tools. However, I suppose you could justify this to the spouse by stating it is to be used around the house to “repair” all the broken steel items. Haha!

On the other hand, most of those who possess good woodworking skills would have a good shot at MIG welding, as it is perhaps the easiest for the beginner to master. Believe me, I am still learning how NOT to weld vice grips and clamps to the speaker parts. Angle grinders sure come in handy!

I am still undecided how I want to pursue marketing the product myself. I suppose it all comes down to how much I can outsource and do in-house, and the costs involved.

      Best Regards,

      –Les
